There will be a Winter Sacred Stitches gathering on Jan. 19 at St. John's, Lancaster.
Please join us at our winter gathering on Saturday, January 19th, 2013. We will be working on a very special project meant to tie in with the 26 Acts of Kindness movement. Materials will be provided, but please plan to have your own knitting needles and/or crochet hook.
The Sacred Stitches gathering on 1/19/13 will involve Flo Waldron, a speaker and activity leader from St Peter UCC in Lancaster. In keeping with the Acts of Kindness movement in our country, we will be knitting/crocheting small teddy bears. It is possible to get at least one finished in the time we have that day. Currently, the bears are being furnished to at least four facilities in the Lancaster area to be given to children. Ever mindful of the needs of others, a line from our family's dinner prayer, is the guiding force behind our involvement in St. Peter's project.
As always, we will have a time for sharing of ideas from your individual parishes and also continue our tradition of a yarn swap.
Our host parish will be St. John's, Lancaster. Please join us from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall. As always, bring a lunch - beverage and snacks/dessert will be provided.
