Loading...St. Barnabas Center for Ministry held an Epiphany Celebration of Mission & Ministry on January 6 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Harrisburg.
Celebrants were: The Rev. Canon Kate Harrigan, Rector, St. Pauls, The Rev. Thomas McKee, Assistant to Lutheran Bishop Hoover and The Rev. Anne Flynn, Deacon, St. John’s, Carlisle (also a St. Barnabas board member). The Rev. Canon Robyn Szoke, Canon for Youth Ministry, Diocese CPA was the preacher.
The service began with “Chalking the Door”. In many countries households mark Epiphany by a general blessing of living quarters and, in some cases, a ritual marking of their main doorways as a means of blessing all that enter the home in the coming year.
