Diocese sponsors Safe Church Train-the-Trainer Training

St. Edward's Church, Lancaster, partnered with the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and sponsored a Safe Church Train-the-Trainer training on Feb. 23, 2013.

The Diocese of Central PA is committed to Zero Tolerance of adult sexual misconduct and/or child abuse by any member of the clergy, Postulants and Candidates for Holy Orders, staff persons, or volunteers.  Safe Church training helps clergy and all other leadership in the parish recognize the dynamics of their relationships and the potential for harm and abuse. The goal of the diocese is to provide Safe Church trainers in every convocation of the diocese so that Safe Church training is available to all parishes.

Parishioners of St. Edward's, Lancaster, attended both Safe Children and Safe People training at St. Edward's, Lancaster. The training was sponsored by the diocese.
