Approximately 130 clergy and lay people of the  Diocese of Central PA assembled at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Harrisburg, on Holy Tuesday, April 19, 2011 for the Renewal of Ordination Vows and Blessing of the Chrism Oil.

The Rt. Rev. Nathan Baxter celebrated with retired Diocesan Bishops Charlie McNutt and Michael Creighton. The Rt. Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon, Bishop Suffragan, Retired of Washington, DC & Director of Foundation for Spiritual Leadership, Christ Church, Alexandria, VA, was guest preacher.

Following the service, clergy and their spouses were invited to take part in a Diocesan sponsored luncheon where keynote speakers The Rt. Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon and her husband, David Dixon, Esq., presented on “Marriage in a Two Vocation Family.” Their session was followed by a question and answer period with Diocesan clergy and spouses. Bishop Nathan Baxter presented a “sample” brick to the Dixons which he explained would be engraved with their names and placed in the Cathedral cloister in their honor.
