On Pentecost Sunday, All Saints' Church in Hershey said a sad farewell to Deacon Barbara Hary.

Barbara Hary

All Saints was blessed by her ministry after St. Michael's and All Angels closed, and it only took one Sunday before she was dearly loved and appreciated. Along with the Archdeacon Molly Solbak, who presented the Bishop's award to Deacon Barbara, the church sent her off with a few gifts and a large cake, and with love. Deacon Barbara was also surprised by the presence of Deacon Hank Morrow who came to share in the celebration of her many years of ministry to the Diocese.

I am so sorry that I was not able to attend this great celebration! Deacon Barbara has been and remains a true example of diaconal ministry among the people of the diocese. I am especially grateful and forever in her debt for the tremendous work she undertook in directing outreach efforts and so much more at St. Michael & All Angels Church before and during my time as Priest-in-Charge. Her steady spirit was a blessing during the difficult days of discerning the future of the parish and the decision to conclude ministry there.
Thank you, Barbara. God speed in all your future endeavors.
